Perth Caricature Artist Draws Attention to Nick Cummins, aka the ‘Honeybadger’.

As a Perth-based caricature artist, I love creating caricatures that capture the essence of famous personalities, and recently I had the pleasure of drawing Nick Cummins, better known as the ‘Honeybadger.’ His appearance on ‘The Bachelor’ made him a household name in Australia, and I was inspired to create a caricature that highlights his unique personality and style.

Nick Cummins is a rugby union player turned reality TV star who appeared on the 2018 season of ‘The Bachelor Australia.’ He quickly became known for his witty one-liners, quirky expressions, and Australian slang, which made him a fan favourite.

To create the caricature, I used a mix of traditional and digital techniques. I started by sketching Nick’s distinctive facial features, including his thick eyebrows, bushy mustache, and curly hair. 

Next, I added colour and shading to give the caricature a more lifelike appearance. I used a bright colour palette to reflect Nick’s outgoing personality and added rose petals in the background as a nod to his time on the Bachelor.

This caricature is a fun and quirky representation of Nick Cummins, capturing his unique personality and charm whilst also highlighting him as an actual Honeybadger (something I enjoy doing in a lot of my caricatures!). It’s a perfect gift for fans of ‘The Bachelor’ or anyone who appreciates a good caricature.
